Kris Clarkin | Boys+Girls
2019 Advertising Judge
Kris began his career as a TV editor and went on to become a promo producer, before packing it all in and going back to university to study motion design. Upon graduation, he immediately took the only logical next step and became a copywriter.
In the intervening years, Kris has produced award-winning work, first as a writer at Publicis Dublin and now as a Creative Director at Boys+Girls, for clients including, Amnesty International, Three Mobile, Cadbury, Digicel, SPAR, and ŠKODA.
He has opened a restaurant split between Dublin and Sydney where separated families could have Christmas dinner together, exploded Ireland outhalf, Johnny Sexton, into a swarm of butterflies, and released a song in the Caribbean, featuring Usain Bolt, that is now ‘big’ in Zumba.
Kris owns a disproportionate number of maroon coloured clothes, refuses to accept his international football career has passed him by and has to explain the spelling of his name at least once a week. He has no idea what Zumba is.
