ICAD re-joins ADC*E

Here are some of the benefits that lie in store ...

Following a ten-year hiatus, and a vote at December’s AGM, ICAD is delighted to be re-joining the Art Directors Club of Europe in 2018. ADC*E is committed to nurturing European creativity and offers a European-wide cross-platform network of an estimated 20,000 members. Through ICAD, Ireland is one of 22 European member countries and our membership opens us up to numerous benefits.

ADC*E Awards – Best of European Design and Advertising:
Only winners from local national competitions are eligible to enter the ADC*E Awards and ICAD gold winners will be automatically entered. Silver, Bronze and commended work can be entered by the agency or studio at preferential rates. Each year, ICAD will elect three jurors to represent Ireland on ADC*E juries. The judging is held in Barcelona each year with seasoned Cannes and Clio judges regularly taking part.

The ADC*E Awards are recognised by The Gunn Report.

ADC*E winners also go forward to the Intercontinental Advertising Festival THE CUP, to compete with winners from the most important regional festivals: ADFest from Asia-Pacific; FIAP from Iberoamerica; ADC*E and Golden Drum from Europe.

All ADC*E winners and gold and silver national awards are also produced in e-book form for distribution across Europe and in an annual travelling exhibition.

European Festival of Creativity:
The ADC*E Awards take place during the European Festival of Creativity, which brings together creatives from all over Europe to participate in and enjoy talks, workshops, exhibitions and more. You’ll find a flavour of the 2017 Festival below.

Creative professionals can also take part in various Europe-wide seminars and educational programs designed for senior professionals and creative leaders throughout the year. Special prices are available to ICAD Members as ADC*E Members.

Rising Stars:
ADC*E run and promote multiple programmes for young European creatives, including the Greatness Challenge, which sees young creatives invited to sit with senior jurors in the ADC*E Awards Jury; Creative Express workshops; and High potentials, which facilitates young creatives presenting their work to HR and senior European creatives.
Alongside this, ADC*E run two young competitions, into each one representative from ICAD will compete. These are Best European Student of the Year (the winner receives a one-year free Sponsorship for the Miami Ad School, to the value of €10.000) and Best Young European Creative.

As ICAD enters its 60th year, we’re particularly proud to be able to represent our membership at such a prestigious level throughout Europe. We hope you’ll join us in participating throughout the year.
