Shadow: The ICAD Advertising and Design Show 2012

SHADOW: The ICAD Advertising and Design Show 2012 is an exhibition of commended work of our members from the 2012 ICAD Awards alongside the work of our 2012 ‘Upstarts’. It runs from November 8-11 during gallery opening hours. The opening reception is on November 7.

Introduced in 2006, the ICAD Upstarts Programme has quickly become one of the cornerstones of ICAD’s activities and its exhibition a highlight of Design Week. Having gained access to some of Dublin’s top agencies and studios each of the ‘Upstarts’ exhibit one of the six briefs they have worked on over the course of the programme. They also design and promote the exhibition.

Work deemed to represent the best of Irish advertising and design at the annual ICAD Awards is voted into the exhibition and book and culminate in this exciting event. Not only will the work itself be exhibited but the 2012 ICAD book will launch on opening night.

The exhibition is an opportunity to promote creative excellence to clients and the public in general and the book creates a permanent record of creative excellence in any given year. Designed by Atelier David Smith, the 2012 book is free to ICAD members with a limited number available for sale.
