Derek Wallace has worked in the film and television industry for the past 30 years; the last 20 of these have been spent as a Production Designer.
His career has seen him work on a wide and varied collection of feature films and television dramas.
His film work has included films for John Boorman (The General, The Tailor of Panama, In My Country and Two Nudes Bathing), Jim Sheridan (Secret Scriptures for which he won the IFTA for best Production Design). ‘The Sea’ by John Banville, the psychological drama ‘Triage’ starring Colin Farrell and Christopher Lee and the feel-good movie ‘Good Vibrations’, which Film critic Mark Kermode said was in his top ten films of all time!
Derek has designed commercials throughout the world including SEGA America for Director John Moore, which was included in the permanent collection of the museum of modern art New York for excellence in Production Design.
Recent commercial work includes Jameson, Direct Line insurance, Vodafone, Heineken and Toyota.
