The mobile phone market is crowded with lifestyle content and product– led shouting. With Three Ireland and Park pictures we saw the opportunity to produce a piece of branded content that told a story about the importance of communication. We decided to make a short film that brought the brand proposition “Communication Matters” to life.

Somewhere in the ocean there’s a real whale that sings at a frequency no other whales can hear, so it swims the oceans alone. This creature is known as “52 Hertz” or the Loneliest Whale.

In our short film for Three Mobile, we tell the story of the Loneliest Whale, and one man’s quest to find the Loneliest Whale and communicate with it. The human desire for this creature to know that it’s been heard says so much about the value we as people put on communication, which is why we decided to tell this unique story.
