Three Ireland transformed Arranmore Island from one of the most disconnected places in Ireland to one of the most connected islands in the world.

To try and reverse over 150 years of emigration we decided to write an open letter to announce that Arranmore was now open for business and ready to welcome new immigrants.

The letter struck a chord across the globe. It was featured in media in over 75 different countries, including; Time, CNN, NBC, USA Today, Channel 9, Now This, The Daily Mail, Lonely Planet, The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC Australia, and Esquire, to name but a few. It resulted in over 3,500 applications from businesses and individuals to move to Arranmore Island.

An open letter from one island people to another.
