Knowing her friend’s appetite for rough-hewn landscape and the minutia of family networks, Aisling Farinella invited photographer Linda Brownlee to visit her relatives in the Sicilian village of Gangi. This was to be the first of numerous trips and three years later resulted in a lovingly-crafted photobook of relaxed portraits and candid shots that criss-cross households and generations.
The first edition is signed and numbered in an edition of 350, of which 20 are special edition that include a print. The green Brillianta cloth and spine covering, as well as the pale blue endpapers are inspired by the natural tones of the Sicilian landscape.
