**Presenting Irish design and craft, but not in a twee, how’s yer leprechaun kind of way.** We created the Design Ireland brand towards the end of 2016. At the core of the new umbrella brand was a determination to show Irish craft in a confident, bold new light. If Irish makers were to compete with the very best international designers we knew that we needed a product-first approach that oozed confidence. As part of the ongoing branding work we created a series of catalogues showcasing makers from all over Ireland and the efforts of Design Ireland. Our strategy was to move away from the close ups of potters hands and looms mid weave to presenting the objects in striking still life images. We avoided the muted textures and colour palettes that Irish craft has often languished in for hard light, geometry and bold colour. All the catalogues are large format, printed 5 colour, on a mix of uncoated and coated papers and finished with a spot UV. Deliverables: Art Direction, Design, Copy Writing, Photography
