An expansive & ambitious brief, our challenge was to promote the upcoming season at Project Arts Centre, as well as the venue itself, the soul of the organisation.

Following several research and exploratory sessions with the team at Project, we distilled the brief, in line with the organisation’s revised mission, to; Visualise bravery, in face of adversary and censorship, to inspire, provoke & challenge.

Following the initial panic, we pitched the concept ‘imagine a world without art’, utilising photochromic inks to create a truly unique, visceral experience for the target audience. With an impactful fluorescent colour palette, the promotional publications are bright and engaging within the venue, and as the person leaves the venue, the light reactive photochromic inks reveal themselves, visualising the organisation’s powerful mission statement… to be brave, in face of adversary and censorship, to inspire, provoke & challenge. The brighter the day, the more vibrant the reaction / reveal.

It’s important to add… this project required a truly collaborative effort between design and print, to push the boundaries of expectation. Without the expertise, exceptional enthusiasm, and support of our print partner, to explore such a unique approach, the publication, simply, would not have been realised. We are incredibly grateful to have such support in on our shores.
