Demonware

Demonware connects people to play online. Based in Dublin, Vancouver, and Shanghai, they design, develop and host online services for some of the most popular game franchises in the world. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, the studio retains its own unique culture and internal structure.

The challenge in updating the Demonware logo was to deliver meaningful change while maintaining a connection to the existing mark, which had been in place since almost the beginning of Demonware’s journey.

The Demonware wordmark and symbol combination is an element that has resonance — and we evolved this in a way that was truly novel while maintaining the connection to what went before. Our development and evolution of the core Demonware word mark and symbol connect with a forward-looking approach; rooted in the practical, living identity that we created. A sense of robustness and reliability is expressed in the rendition of this core wordmark. A compressed / abbreviated ‘dw’ monogram was created for use on social media.
